SBG 67: House Bunny with Sarah Kennedy

SBG 67 Story guest v2.png

Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) sit down with stand-up comedian and writer Sarah Kennedy (@sarahkomedy) to talk about why the movie “House Bunny” Should’ve Been Gay.

This movie has Anna Faris, Emma Stone, and Kat Dennings, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you really should. In our experience, there’s nothing gayer than being in a sorority. So many characters in this movie are queer-coded (we’re looking at you, Mona) and even the male love interest is basically a lesbian stand in. These women are so deeply ingrained in the nightmare that is compulsory heterosexuality that they never quite find a way out of the closet. We enjoyed “House Bunny”, but it one hundred percent Should’ve Been Gay.
