405: The The-Gay-tre with Heather Reid

ep405.png

Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with Heather Reid (@heatherreid), singer and songwriter from The Murmurs, Redcar and current musical theatre songwriter. We chat about LGBTQ representation in musical theatre from canon representation in Rent and Prom The Musical to the strong headcanon of Wicked and Heather thinks Dear Evan Hanson should've been gay. We talk about all of the steps that it takes to get a musical from the songwriting stage all the way to Broadway. Heather's dream is to get a show on Broadway and we can't wait to see her get there! Listen along to hear more from this absolute joy of a person who truly believes anything is possible.
