Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Mona Lisa Smile Should've Been Gay. The IMDB synopsis is as follows: A free-thinking art professor teaches conservative 1950s Wellesley girls to question their traditional social roles. This movie has the highest number of characters that should've been gay out of any other movie we've done. Katherine Ann Watson (Julia Roberts) ends the movie without any man and was the catalyst for quite a few of her students' discovering their sexuality. Amanda Armstrong (Juliet Stevenson), the only out lesbian in the movie, gets far too little screen time and leaves us too soon. Giselle Levy (Maggie Gyllenhaal) is our favorite bisexual and it was impossible to pick just one person to ship her with. Betty Warren (Kirsten Dunst) is the dark horse gay of the film, serving up some gay goodness when she leaves her husband and moves to Greenwich Village with Giselle. Honorable mention to Giselle and Connie (Ginnifer Goodwin) for literally always being on top of each other or kissing each other's cheeks. Oh and did we mention Marcia GAY Harden?! Enough said. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Wine Country Should've Been Gay-er. According to IMDB, when a group of longtime girlfriends goes to Napa for the weekend to celebrate their friend's 50th birthday, tensions from the past boil over. Full of SNL veterans, Rachel Dratch, Paula Pell, Maya Rudolph, Emily Spivey, Tina Fey and Ana Gasteyer, this movie does not disappoint. We know this film is already gay and THANK YOU for that representation. Out actress Paula Pell plays Val, everyone's best lesbian friend and the only love story in the film is between two queer women. BUT what if it was gayer? Tina Fey? More like Tina Gay! Are we right? Tina Fey's character Tammy is a gay icon in her flannels and vests and the chemistry between Tammy and Catherine (Ana Gasteyer) is palpable. Even Amy Poehler said she's open to Tammy having a late in life gay epiphany and we are all here for it. Out actress Paula Pell plays Val, everyone's best lesbian friend and the only love story in the film is between two queer women. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Incredibles 2 Should've Been Gay. Voyd is the queer fan girl in all of us when she meets Elastigirl. Violet will totally have a coming out moment in college. And the biggest lesbian of them all is Evelyn Devers, our favorite super villain. What's the gayest thing about her? Her hair is perfectly unkempt. Her outfits just scream boss lesbian. That lesbian smoulder. The fact that she can't sit. There is too much evidence to pick just one. And Elastigirl herself. Is sexuality elastic? She falls in love with being the gender roles being reversed and we don't think that's the only think she falls in love with. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with Amber Benson (@rebmanosneb) and Kia Barnes (@kiacomedy) for their LIVE SHOW in Las Vegas at Clexacon. Amber Benson dives into why Buffy & Faith should've been gay because they're the only ones who can understand each other and Eliza Duskhu. #teamfuffy Oh and Ellie and Leigh had to write a song about it and perform it with a live audience. Kia Barnes dives into why Dumplin Should've Been Gay because of the clear chemistry between Willa Dean and Ellen #teameldump. Subscribe to our mailing list for updates on upcoming live shows. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Afternoon Delight, a horribly strange movie on Amazon Prime Should've Been Gay. According to The IMDB synopsis, Rachel is a quick-witted and lovable stay-at-home mom. Frustrated with the realities of preschool auctions, a lackluster sex life and career that's gone kaput, Rachel visits a strip club to spice up her marriage and meets McKenna, a stripper she adopts as her live-in nanny. If that isn't gay, then we don't know what is. From bored housewife to the sensual massage that McKenna gives Rachel with VapoRub to Rachel literally watching McKenna in bed, this movie just screams gay. Oh and did we mention that Jane Lynch is her lesbian therapist? Join us on this strange journey of a movie. Follow along on Twitter @lezhangoutpod and Facebook and Instagram (@lezhangoutpod). Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) are joined by Karen Knox (@karenxknox) and Gwenlyn Cumyn (@gwenlyn.cumyn), the co-creators and stars of Barbelle (@barbelle.series) as our first two time guests to talk about why Harry Potter Should Have Been Gay. In a world where magic is always a metaphor for gayness, gay magic children are sent to the opposite of conversion camp where their gay headmaster encourages them to hone their gayness and become super gays. Karen ships Harry and Draco aka #darry or #drarry and their hot summer romance doing wizarding community service in their magic pick up truck. Leigh ships Hermione Granger as the woman that no man deserves and Fleur Delacour #fleurmione as equals in wit and beauty who fall in love as young teachers at Hogwarts. Ellie talks about all of the characters who are just straight up gay from Madame Hooch, Sybill Trelawney, Minerva Mcgonagall and Tonks. Extreme wishful thinking for Bellatrix Lestrange leads them all down a strangely kinky path and shipping Luna Lovegood and Bellatrix #lovestrange. Gwen ships Luna Lovegood and Ginny, but comes to the conclusion that Ginny is a wet blanket and Luna can do so much better. #linny Listen to the episode to hear more! Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) talk about why Cruel Intentions should've been gay. After a good re-watch, they both confirmed how problematic this film is. However, what if it was gay?? From that Central Park make out scene to the possibility of Annette and Cecile riding off into the sunset at the end of the film, Cruel Intentions could have been a gay masterpiece. Ellie reimagines the film as a competition between Sebastian and Katherine for Annette's affections with Katherine winning of course. And Leigh has a far less twisted ending with the Annette and Cecile getting together in the ultimate revenge for Katherine and Sebastian messing with their lives. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with Katherine Kleffner (@kleffnotes) from the Nerdy Girl Express to talk about why iZombie Should Have Been Gay, With Liv eating all of those straight dude brains, it makes absolutely no sense that she's not attracted to women every other episode. We talk the obvious chemistry between Liv and Peyton, that one time that Peyton spanks Liv in a dominatrix outfit, honorable mention for #rager and why Liv being a sexually fluid zombie just makes sense.
